The most enjoyable part of everyday was having the opportunity to visit with the patrons, alot of them were regulars and became a part of family to me.Our Master's programme celebrates the diversity of living and working across cultures. To be real honest there was not a hard part of the job requirements unless other coworkers did not show up for their shift and therefore had to take care of all patrons and drink stations of the entire casino. I beleive that all work places have difference in personalities and you do not always like everyone but you are a team and make the best effort to stay professional to represent the company. The management that I dealt with were very fair and very family oriented.

I learned that if a patron was not having a great day or possible even dealing with a an emotional personal matter that you can create a fun experience for them and possibly just letting them vent their frustrations. So in summary good job and great coworkers, terrible management with work culture in decline due to lack of willingness to listen to employees and lack of sufficient benefits or pay to match inflation and sicknesses, from flu to covid that spread due to it being high traffic and indoors.Ī typical day at work would consist of making sure the assigned drink stations were well stocked and very presentible for patrons if they chose the self serve. The best part of the job was that you always knew what you were supposed to do 90% of the time and when you didn't your supervisors and coworkers had your back. I will say I had the best coworkers and supervisors there than anywhere I worked before but they didn't have the amount of say or authority they deserved most times. You will learn great customer service skills but at the risk of wanting to avoid it as a career after dealing with their patrons especially at night.

The work culture is still good but nothing compared to what it used to be due to local management issues, favoritism and lack of interest or ability to solve every day issues are the main problem. Worked there for over 3 years and never had a complaint until covid years the training is through and the work is straight forward but the pay and benefits are not sufficient for the amount of headaches and risks you have working there.
